Our newest video, inspired by the personal experience of our founder, has been released.
This motivational video was created to encourage the release of any self-limiting beliefs or fears you may have in your life.
The inspiration for this video is very personal to me. I almost didn’t start Pretty Loaded because of my self-limiting beliefs. I was teased by students and teachers in school about my voice, and from this, I developed a fear of public speaking. (Side note – It didn’t help I wore a full-body back brace for two years in high school, making me the laughing stock of my peers.) My high school counselor also told me I needed to go to college in my hometown since I wasn’t smart enough to go anywhere else. (Dear Counselor, are you still predicting with dismal accuracy who will change the world and who will let the world change them? 😉 )
So many successful people I know have similar stories to mine, and they somehow broke through with courage and a “never give up” resilience.
You cannot control many of the events that happen to you, but you can manage your response to them. Don’t let self-limiting beliefs and judgments from others crush your spirit and potential. Your fears, whatever they may be, may hold you back in so many areas of your life. It happened to me. I had real fear most of my childhood and young adulthood due to my best friend’s mother being murdered in the home behind ours. If you want to learn more about my childhood history and the event that made me start Pretty Loaded, listen here.
Defining my mission to empower people and help them protect their precious lives is ultimately what made me get over my fears and launch Pretty Loaded. I didn’t care what others thought of me anymore because my message was more powerful, more important than to be smothered by anyone’s criticism.
If you think you’re not special (which is “normal” in our negatively biased society), think again: research has proven that your chance of being born YOU is 1 in 400 trillion! You are here in this life, in this specific time, for a unique purpose. Believe in yourself and the world will believe in you. I’m thankful I took that step to get over my fears and, among other challenges in my life, start Pretty Loaded.
A new decade has started.
You are ENOUGH as you are,
but what is possible for you?
And I am Enough,
and getting better every day,
Founder of Pretty Loaded,
Director of Badass Awesomeness
